Do you need them?
Well, you probably need some covering for privacy but blinds and shades will not hold up very well. The moisture will rust steel headrails and other parts. The splashed, soapy water mixed with dust will eventually cause a pretty disgusting build up on faux wood blinds and will destroy a cell or pleated shade.
Moisture-resistant shutters are easily cleaned and can be a reasonable if pricey option. Make sure to order them with stainless steel (rust-resistant) hinges.
A simple, low cost DIY approach is self-adhesive window film. This product comes in a variety of patterns and textures and will resemble frosted glass. It gives you the privacy you need but doesn’t block light. If it gets funky in a few years, peel it off and replace!
